About Us

After graduating from the United States Military Academy John served our country for five years as an officer in the United States Army. Upon leaving military service he began his real estate management career with Brentwood Properties, later Trammell Crow Residential, as a district manager primarily in Houston Texas. By putting together fantastic teams John was able to oversee the quickest lease up in the history of Trammell Crow. That same team set up the first multi-family recycling program in the state by partnering with BFI. John gained experience in the due diligence of assets by working directly with the acquisitions team that acquired over 3,000 units in Houston. After the communities were acquired they were added to John’s portfolio and he oversaw them as they underwent $30,000,000 in renovations.
After leaving Crow John oversaw a 10,000 unit portfolio as Vice President of Property Management at Greystar Residential in Houston Texas. This portfolio was acquired through the purchase of a Houston based management company. John then moved to California to oversee the Southern California portfolio for Lincoln Residential Services (now Legacy Partners) and then at Western National Group oversaw the multi-family portfolio of 20,000 units as the Vice President of Operations. With Winn Residential John worked on the preparation of proposals for management services to transition military family housing to management by private companies. After working on the successful proposals for about 10,000 family homes for the Army and Air Force in Hawaii John moved there to set up teams, offices and operations to take over management of those homes. While in Hawaii after leaving Winn John worked with Stratus Real Estate and in one year build the portfolio to over 1,600 units.

Returning home to California John took over the day to day operations of Bayview Property Management. John served on the Apartment Association Greater Inland Empire (AAGIE) board for 8 years, serving in all four officers positions. At Regents La Jolla in the San Diego area the team at Regents has accomplished back to back fantastic years. From 2008 to 2009 the team achieved an increase in Net Operating Income (NOI) of 13.2%. Not satisfied with that the team increased the 2009 NOI in 2010 by 5.4%.

Since 1995 Mission has been professionally serving small to mid-size management companies providing quality services from Financial Management and Budget Preparation to Consulting and Collections. President and Owner Robin Rangel spent over 12 years as CFO for a large management company, as well as a number of years in the banking field. Mission was founded on the principles of professionalism and honesty, with acute dedication to getting the job done right.
